NCP and IRSN
The Support Network for the implementation of FP7 objectives is composed of the National Contact Point (NCP) network. The National Contact Point network is the main structure to provide guidance, practical information and assistance on all aspects of participation in FP7.
In India,
- Ministry of Information Technology (MIT) has been chosen as NCP
- MIT will be supported by the Indian Research Support Network (IRSN)

The IRSN assists the NCP in all its activities. It enables a decentralized functioning of the National Contact Point. Based in Delhi, the Indian NCP operates on a decentralized basis through a network of reputed organisations, grouped in the Indian Research Support Network.
