 Euro-India Research Centre (EIRC) helps Indian organisations access and benefit from EU funding in Research and Development. EIRC will achieve this through a permanent platform for co-operation between India and the European Union that will promote co-operation at a research level.
In India, the National Contact
Point (NCP) is the entity that supports the scientific and
business communities in accessing European funds for Research
and Development. The Ministry of Information Technology (MIT)
has been chosen by the Indian government as NCP for ICT co-operation
with the European Union. MIT will be supported by the Indian
Research Support Network (IRSN).

Inviting Indian organisations to participate in the largest R&D ICT conference in Europe!! [November 2008]
 The biggest research event on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has been scheduled from the 25th -27th November 2008, at Lyon. This event acts as a good networking forum for researchers and innovators, policy and business decision makers who are in the field of Information Technology at European level. The ICT Event is organised by the European Commission's Directorate General for the Information Society and Media. Fervent Indian delegations have opportunities to participate in ICT Lyon 2008 and further collaborate with EU through 3 major ways: Conference, Exhibition and Networking.
EIRC will participate to the ICT event with a stand and with a networking session, Euro-India ICT Cooperation Gateway:
The networking session will bring together reputed Indian and European organisations under dynamic and concrete discussion around the key themes of Euro-Indian research collaboration and ICT priorities. The session will take place in two phases:
- General session with panel of high level speakers
- Parallel session with structured thematic networking round-tables

Pre-ICT Lyon training workshop
EIRC conducted Training workshop in Bangalore 29th September 2008 for best-in-class Indian industries, academia, and innovators and also encourages one on one consultation. All Indian participants were given appropriate guidance in order to maximize the returns of the ICT conference that will be held in Lyon from 25th to 27th November.

LEXELERATOR - Legal Information for SMEs in e-Business
 The Lexelerator, or Legal Knowledge Transfer Accelerator, provides you with useful information resources on legal issues in eBusiness through a Legal Wiki and qualified links.
Lexelerator aims at understanding the legal issues in cross-border business across Europe, India, USA and Latin America. Apart from its quest to provide a comparison for relevant legal issues across borders, it also aims to address legal issues and enhance best practice transfers across countries by the usage of relevant online tools such as Wiki type catalogue, Online forums and P2P platforms.

MOTIVATE women entrepreneurs to participate in European projects
Women entrepreneurs are of high importance for economic and regional development. They are active in research and development, however their participation level in Euro pean research projects and trans-national co-operation is low. This is even more true for women-owned businesses. Part of the problem is that women entrepreneurs are not reached by the mainstream information and support schemes for European Research and Technological Development (EU RTD).
