SSC First Think Tank Meeting @ Brussels – 30th Sept 2010

Synchroniser successfully organized “First Think Tank Meeting” at Brussels on 30th Sept 2010 wherein Indian experts and EU experts were brought together to analyze all the preceding EU-India joint research priorities and Minutes of JWG Meetings and propose recommendations for “precise research paths”. The main outcome of the meeting was to develop a “Position Paper” in order to give JWG members in the view of adopting recommendations for including as joint EU-India ICT priority areas.

Morning Session: Began with the general introduction of the day and participants and experts. Draft version of what should go into "Position Paper" was discussed with the experts. Experts gave their views and opinion.

Afternoon Session: Focused on analyzing Minutes of 6th JWG Meetings and propose recommendations for joint EU-India priority areas. Both EU and Indian experts identified some priority areas addressing two major levels namely technological and social areas for joint research and innovation programmes and projects between EU and India ICT players.

Indian SSC experts Preliminary Meeting: August 2010

Preliminary introductory meetings of Indian SSC experts were held on August 31st 2010 at New Delhi. Some major points that were discussed in the meeting include EU-India joint research priorities identified during 6th EU-India Joint Working Group meeting, research priorities for joint-funding programmes for ICT thematic area in FP7, preparing a draft proposal on joint Indo-EU dedicated Fund to support R&D and Innovation in ICT to be submitted to JWG meeting, etc.
