Synchroniser @ ICT 2010, Brussels

The Synchronizer Networking Session held at the ICT-2010 event on Tuesday 28th Sept 2010 between 9.00 -10.30am was co-organized by the projects Euro-India Spirit and Synchroniser. The session focused on:

  • Presentation of the Indian ICT roadmap findings – focusing on the areas for mutual cooperation
  • Overview of working group findings and recommendations emerging on EU-India technological trends for joint research
  • Panel of 2-3 high level Indian speakers, presenting successful Indian-EU research collaboration

The session was coordinated by Ms. Katja Legisa, SYNCHRONISER - TESEO Sprl (Belgium), and was lead by Ms. Hilary Hanahoe, Euro-India SPIRIT - TrustIT Services Ltd (United Kingdom). Ms. Hillary Hanahoe from Trust-It services opened the session as the moderator. Mr. Alvis Ancans the Project Officer for both the projects presented on the Indian participation in FP7 spanning from FP7 ICT Call 1-6. Ms. Surbhi Sharma of EIRC, made a presentation on India focused FP7 calls for 2011-2012. Dr Mary Mathew of IISc, India presented on the areas in which Indian researchers and visionaries would be interested to collaborate. Mr. Mahesh Kulkarni of CDAC-Pune gave a presentation on the ongoing bilateral ICT cooperation of Europe and India and Ms. Sara Munoz of Rose Vision presented on the analysis of ICT policy priorities. The response to this session was quite good which culminated in around fifty organizations visiting the ‘Enhancing Euro-India cooperation’ booth to gather more information on the project.

Synchroniser @ Enhancing EU-India Cooperation Gateway

Synchroniser @ Enhancing EU-India Cooperation GatewayEuro-India SPIRIT (http://www.euroindia-ict.org/) and SYNCHRONISER (http://www.synchroniser.org/) successfully co-organized a booth with the title ‘Enhancing EU-India Cooperation Gateway’. Information on the Indian ICT scenario and the facts and figures pertaining to various areas of ICT arouse a lot of interest in the delegates visiting the event. The response was overwhelming with many research institutes/universities visiting to know more about the activities of both the projects. The project promotional material was synergized with its counterpart project Euro-India Spirit.
